Comment on this statement: “the whole is only as strong as the sum of its parts.” and whether this statement is true for the United Nations.

This statement can refer to many things. In this case it is talking about the UN. this relates to the UN because all the nations work together. This goes back to the part about the sum of all the parts (all the nations working together) and the whole is the whole of the United nations. All this adds up to the UN is only strong if all the other countries work together so they can promote peace everywhere. The UN is couldnt funtion without help, you can tell by the name United nations. basically this is like the statement “united we stand, divided we fall.”
